Pause Retinoids & Strong Acids I’m holding any retinoid products, hydroquinone, glycolic >10%, and salicylic acids >2% for safety. Most OTC products are at or below these % but good keep an eye out for them. These ingredients are not recommended during pregnancy, so giving my skin a reset now keeps it healthy while avoiding potential risks. 2. Schedule Annual Laser Early I’m getting my yearly laser treatments done ahead of trying to conceive. Some laser procedures are not advised during pregnancy, so finishing them in advance ensures my skin is smooth and pigmented areas are addressed safely. 3. Switch to Mineral SPF I’m swapping my chemical sunscreen for a mineral option with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. Mineral SPFs are non-systemic, physically block UV rays, and are considered safe when trying to conceive and perfect for daily protection without the risks.
